I use this boat all the time and it flys with the 70 on it. The whole boat has been customized and is in really good shape. I spend all day on this boat with my friends and have a good amount of room to move around. The hull is so light weight you can pull it right on the beach and onto shore with one hand. It sits in the water just right and is simple to get in and out of. No ladder needed, just throw a leg over the side and your in!!! All in all, its a great boat with a great open hull design. Not your typical aluminum boat shaky feeling. The boat balances great with 3-4 people. By yourself, you can stay on the opposite driver side and move around without listing to one side. Trailering the boat is a dream. I've had allot of big heavy boats and I'm that guy who has to have the boat on the trailer perfect, not all cock-eyed. This boat is so easy to trailer out of the water... I do it by myself all the time. The YahctClub trailer matches the angle of the hull perfectly. No mess or fuss at the boat launch!!! Just put trailer in with the water just over the bunks and hook it and crank it!!! perfectly aligned every time!!! So nice to have no stress with this boat. I have been all over with this boat. I tow it with a Dodge Dakota!!! I get great gas mileage and with this boat weighing less than 900lb w/ engine I can get allot of days of fishing out of one tank. I fish by myself allot!!! and being able to launch this boat quickly and easily is HUGE!!! Going into those tough shallow places is easy with this boat, maneuvering a light weight aluminum with a 70hp is fun, you get on a plain real quick with no big bow rise. The boat is really amazing when you consider the weight distribution and boyance and the way the boat displaces water. I've been in big seas with this boat and I was amazed at how well it cuts through the water without getting water splashed over the front. I've seen the same models with the inside all built up with the big full wrap around windshields and those big double sided old boat seats taking up 3/4 the room this design does. It truly is one of a kind and with the big idea being the best design for bass/ walleye fishing. Having an open floor plan to walk around in and cast from is awesome and having that raised platform in the front gives you even more of a perfect casting spot. The front platform is stable and the boat doesn't list when your up there, I put my camp chair up there and my lines out the back and sit up on there like on a perch, controlling the trolling motor with the controls as I troll for pike and walleye facing the back of the boat from the front. People see me trolling along by myself and there like wow that's really cool. You just step down from the front to your poles and wham!!! FISH ON!!!! (THE BAD) The biggest issue right now is probably the prop and the controls. The engine has no power tilt. It is a manual release and last time I was out, it was dark and I had a prop strike on a rock or some thing and took and few chunk out of one of the blades on the prop. Didn't crack it, just chewed it a bit. Still operates, but will need a new prop or to machine this one. Power tilt is available for this model engine and I found a few on Ebay and Craig s list for as low as $75. I rebuilt the controls with a new choking ignition with new keys, works great!!! press in for the choke... Engine starts right up. But now the throttle is a little sloppy, not physically like the mount, but when you en gauge it into forward it has some play, you can move it an inch forward and it starts off slowly and then revs up. I think its a minor adjustment in the throttle control. But I don't know how to adjust it. Also, last time out the trolling motor control directional pedal stop working, the speed control works, but the side to side movement control isn't working right. Prob. needs new controller. Its the original 1st model foot pedal, that you can get anywhere used for around $40. But you can also by the brand new pocket keypad Minn Kota has for $125 that you can control it from a small palm size directional pad. It will work with this series Minn Kota, looks really cool... The boat has the original paint on it and after years of rubbing against the sides of the bumpers, one side has some bumper blemishes just above the name on the driver side. Pretty minor, it will probably wheel out with a little elbow grease. So I hope, I painted a good enough picture of this boat for ya, because I want you know everything about this boat, so I'm not wasting your time and your not wasting mine. The boat is SOLID and worth what I'm asking. The engine is in great shape and has been well maintained every season. I'm very anal about taking care of stuff. Email me for more info, the boat is located at my home in N.Oakland County. It was just re-registered and everything is up to date. I have a clean title and will allow people to make an appointment to come see the boat. If you want to get it on the lake there is a public boat launch on a lake near by, you can demo the boat there if you like!!!
